Description:

Manufactured using a new-made right sideplate, this full function Browning 1919A4 machine gun was produced by Inland Arms of Austin Texas (not to be confused with the GM Inland Division or the Inland Arms currently located in Dayton, Ohio). Originally developed by John M. Browning, variants of the 1919 would be go-to weapons for decades with the United States armed forces, being a signature weapon of both World Wars, Korea and Vietnam. Folding blade front and flip-up ladder rear sights, with military-style nomenclature on the right sideplate, ventilated barrel heat shield and a checkered pistol grip. The weapon is mounted in a 1942 dated 1917A1 tripod with integral traverse and elevation hardware. Included with the lot is a pair of loading tools with cases, an extra barrel with cover, a number of loose links and cloth belts, and a pair of hardwood belt carriers.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 95% of the parkerized finish, showing mild handling marks and wear overall. Some of the components are refurbished military surplus, with the cover latch, pistol grip assembly and bottom plate showing cleaned-up pitting. The tripod is in good order, with mild wear and flaking of the paint. The cases for the loading tools are damaged; otherwise, the accessories are in good order. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
