Manufactured in 1945, the left side of the slide is marked with the standard two-line Remington-Rand address and a "P" on top. The left side of the frame has the "FJA" inspection mark (double stamped), "P" below the magazine release, and "1" on the trigger guard. The standard U.S. property, serial number, and model designation are marked on the right side, along with "M R" below the model marking and "X" and "H" on the trigger guard. The full blue barrel is marked "HS" and "P" on the lug. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, checkered thumb safety and narrow hammer, short stamped trigger, serrated mainspring housing, checkered Keyes Fiber grips, and an unmarked full-blue magazine.
Exceptionally fine, retains 95% plus of the arsenal applied parkerized finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, most noticeably on the grip safety and lightly on some edges. The grips are very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
