Manufactured in 1913, only 9,849 Model 1907 pistols were manufactured chambered in .380 ACP, compared to nearly 210,000 in .32 ACP. The top of the slide is marked with the two-line address, patent date, and caliber marking, lacking the "9MM" notation. The pistol features A Grade engraving that consists of flourishes of English style floral scroll engraving which was likely executed by Enoch Tue. It is fitted with blade and notch sights and a pair of Type B smooth pearl grips with Savage medallions. The included factory letter notes the A Grade engraving and pearl grips, as well as shipment on 3 December 1913 to Michael Reagan, whose address is not listed. Also includes a modern custom hardwood case marked for The Brower Collection on the lid. Provenance: The Bailey Brower, Jr. Collection, author of “Savage Pistols”
Fine, retains 60% plus of the original blue finish and 70% of the vivid original case colors on the trigger with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of very light pitting. The grips are also fine with a couple minor chips absent and otherwise minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with minimal handling/storage evidence.
