Manufactured 1910-1917 with the two-line address, patent date, and caliber marking on top of the barrel extension. It is fitted with a blade front sight and notch rear sight, as well as a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos. The included factory letter states that the pistol was manufactured in 1920 and shipped on 20 December 1920 to E.K. Tryon, a large distributor in Philadelphia. Also includes a rare factory box correctly labeled to the gun. Provenance: The Bailey Brower, Jr. Collection, author of “Savage Pistols”
Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original matte blue finish and original case colors on the trigger with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, some scattered light spotting, and a small patch of light pitting on the front left of the frame. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with some light handling/storage wear.
