Built by J. Rigby & Co. on a commercial square bridge Mauser-Oberndorf action in 1913. The blued barrel features a hooded ramped beaded blade sight, under barrel sling stud, folding two position island rear sight with gold inlaid center lines, "J. Rigby & Co. London, England" in script ahead of the rear sight, 1994 dated London proofs, and "375 MAGNUM/RIGBY-MAUSER" on the front receiver ring. The action is a Mauser 98 type with a square rear bridge, casehardened scope rings holding a Zeiss Diavari-C 1.5-4.5x18 scope, and blued bolt with peep sight at the rear. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with trapdoor grip cap holding an extra front sight blade, gold inscription oval marked "RA", rear sling stud, and checkered steel trapdoor buttplate holding a cleaning kit. Includes a Rigby case with leather scope case, cleaning kit, leather muzzle cover, nickel oiler, and leather sling.
Excellent overall, retaining 95% original blue finish with minor handling evidence, a few blemishes in the finish, traces of blue remaining on the buttplate, a couple tiny scratches in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock. The scope rings show vibrant case colors. Scope optics are sharp. The case is fair and the accessories are very good. Mechanically excellent.
