Offered here is a matched set of Winchester's "Big 5" series of rifles commemorating some of the most prolific cartridges in the history of African hunting. Each one features a special floorplate with the common prey of each cartridge. All five of the rifles feature a matched serial number with each of the set being numbered 1 through 5. Manufactured in 2004. Features floral scroll engraving on the floorplate and trigger guard, with a gold inlaid lion on the floorplate, gold inlaid geometric border on the scene and bottom metal with "SAFARI/CLASSIC" in gold. The bottom of the floorplate features a gold inlaid African continent and "Big 5". The rifle also features a knurled bolt handle, engraved crossbolts, and jeweled bolt. Mounted in a checkered nicely figured, pistol grip stock with black rubber recoil pad. Includes certificate of authenticity listing the features of the rifle, and original box.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically needs work as the bolt throw is seized up and cannot be pushed down into battery. Box is fine.
