Introduced in 1988. This is a rare two barrel set, as only a few early guns in this grade were offered, much less a set that is in near new condition in every way. Features a single brass bead front sight on a concave solid rib matte barrel with 2 3/4 inch chambers, and cylinder/improved cylinder chokes. The breech end of each barrel features a 2 inch wedge of tight floral scroll engraving as well as thin gold wire inlaid bands. The casehardened receiver is intricately engraved with very tight detailed floral scroll and game scenes featuring hunting dogs on point on both the left and right sides, gold inlaid "PARKER BROS" on each side, a pair of dogs on the bottom, and a bust of a hunting dog with a bird in its mouth on the trigger plate. The action features attractively sculpted fences and a fully engraved break lever with decorative pierced areas at the tip. Fitted with a gold washed single selective trigger and automatic tang mounted safety. Mounted on a finely checkered fleur de lis pattern semi-beavertail forearm with engraved hardware and a pistol grip stock with fleur de lis relief carved flats, engraved and pierced through trigger guard, gold inlaid serial number marking on the lower tang, contrasting wood grip cap with gold inset initial oval, and a checkered bare butt with an engraved skeletonized buttplate. The extra barrel set is 28 inches long with 2 3/4 inch chambers, full/modified chokes, matching serial number, and matching gold inlay and engraving. Includes a leather bound Parker Reproductions takedown case with fine oak interior trim, two nickel snap caps, nickel oiler bottle, and key. Barrel measurements for the 26 inch barrels are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .616/.616 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .067/.067 inches. Barrel measurements for the 28 inch set are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .616/.616 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .067/.067 inches. Stock dimensions are: drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; 0 cast; 0 toe; 14 1/8 inch length of pull.

Near new in case with only minimal light handling marks overall. The wood is excellent with highly attractive grain and good dark mineral lines. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent.
