Outstanding Documented El Paso, Texas Shipped Colt First Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter

Manufactured in late 1929, this is an outstanding example of the legendary Peacemaker chambered in the iconic .45 LC caliber. Factory letter dated May 29, 1991 documents this specific revolver's features to include .45 Long Colt caliber, 7 1/2 barrel, blue finish, rubber grips, shipped to Momsen-Dunnegan-Ryan Co., El Paso, Texas, on December 17, 1929, one gun shipment. The barrel has the standard one-line Colt Hartford address on top as well as "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" on the left side. The frame has the correct two-line patent dates marking followed by a Rampant Colt. The trigger guard is stamped with the number "3" and Colt "VP" triangle proof. The cylinder has the matching partial serial number "47" on the rear face, and both grips have a matching partial serial number "3647" on the back. Matching full serial numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap.

ConditionExcellent, retaining 97% original blue finish with a patch of very light surface oxidation at the front sight and slight thinning on the grip straps. The hammer and frame retain 98% plus original case colors. The grips are slightly wrapped at the front near the bottom, otherwise very fine with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
