Manufactured c. 1876, the standard two-line address on top of the barrel, desirable "COLT NEW 41" etched panel on the left. There are British proofs on the bottom of the barrel and on the cylinder. The left of the frame is marked "41CAL C". The full serial number is on the left of the grip frame, bottom of the barrel, and hand marked inside the left grip, and the partial serial number "553" is on the rear face of the cylinder. Fitted with smooth rosewood grips.

Very fine, retains 60% of the original blue finish and 80% of the original case colors with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, and the etched panel crisp. The grips are very fine with some scattered light handling marks. The cylinder does not rotate when the hammer is cocked, otherwise mechanically fine.
