Manufacturing began in 1870. This pair are both of the Second Type, featuring the short high hammers and no bolster on the front lower frame. Both have the standard italic Colt marking on top of the barrel and small British proofs on the bottom, with the serial numbers marked on the left side of the grip frames. They are both marked "41 CAL." on the left of the frames and fitted with a pair of smooth antique ivory grips. They are housed in an included leather wrapped case that is faintly marked "L. COL. BRIDGES." on the lid and has a detached reproduction E.M. Reilly & Co. label inside along with an oiler.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original nickel finish with the balance having thinned to either a smooth grey patina or an attractively aged brass. The grips are very fine with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with mild wear.
