All four patches are of a pattern used by a U.S. Army Air Corps/Army Air Force bombardment squadron during World War II. 1) 613th Squadron (401st Bomb Group) patch, embroidered on white cloth, with a design of an anthropomorphized bomb dressed as a boxer on a green circular field. 2) 614th Squadron (401st Bomb Group) patch, embroidered on blue cloth, with a green bomb, golden winged horseshoe, and a smiling red devil. 3) 351st Bomb Squadron (100th Bomb Group) patch, unpainted carved leather, featuring a bird with spurs and a cigar carrying a bomb across a desert landscape. 4) 674th Squadron (417th Bomb Group) patch, embroidered on white cloth, featuring a wolf in Army uniform riding a cloud, a bomb under one arm and a club with a nail through it in the other hand. Provenance: The Putnam Green/Sycamore Collection

Rating Definition:

All are in very good condition, with #1 and #2 showing some small holes and some minor scuffs on #3. All show strong detail in the decoration, with solid color on the embroidered patches.
