BELGIUM" in gold on the right and left barrels respectively, "SPECIAL" and "QUALITY" at the left and right breech respectively, and Belgian proofs on the flats. The casehardened boxlock action displays engraving patterned off of Purdey's bouquet & scroll style and featuring bushed firing pins, double triggers, and a tang mounted manual safety switch with gold inlaid "S". Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with horn grip cap and red rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 3/8 inches. Very fine, retaining 95% original blue finish, 75% original case colors, areas of scattered minor spotting, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
