Blued steel barrels with beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and German claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari-ZM 1.5-6x42 T* scope on the matted solid rib. The barrels show attractive scrollwork surrounding the upper breech, import mark under the forend, and 1990 dated German proofs. The shotgun barrel has a chamber proved at 70mm (2 3/4 inches) and a choke constriction of .040 inches. The coin finished bolstered, hand detachable sidelock action displays a pair of highly detailed and attractive relief game scenes surrounded by leafy scrollwork. The left sideplate shows a roaring red stag with his harem of three hinds in a mountain side forest and the right has four chamois running across rocky terrain. The gun features double triggers, cocking indicators on the lockplates, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings, including the Deeley latch release, and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece and black grip cap and buttplate. Length of pull 14 5/16 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 12 oz. with scope.
Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, 95% plus original coin finish with some loss on the upper tang, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The scope optics are sharp. Mechanically excellent.
