Blued steel barrels with a single steel bead sight on the matted solid rib which is marked with a gold pigeon at the breech, import mark under forend, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and choke constrictions of .050/.046 inches. The coin finished sidelock action displays floral carved fences, bouquet and scroll engraving with "F. THIRIFAYS" and "LIEGE" inlaid in gold on the left and right respectively, and a gold coronet on the toplever. The gun features bushed firing pins, double triggers (front is articulated), and manual tang safety with gold inlaid "S". Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings, and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, blank inscription oval, and cork recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.

Very fine, retaining 98% plus professionally reapplied blue finish on the barrels, 98% original coin, and 80% blue on the trigger guard. The gun shows light handling evidence and some light oxidation on the lower tang. The recoil pad is deteriorating; otherwise, the wood is very good with a tiny hairline crack at the rear of each lockplate and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
