This is one of 100 of these pistols specially custom embellished by Colt and the American Historical Society to celebrate 100 years of the Model 1903 pistol. It utilized an original Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless pistol with standard Model markings on each side of the slide, serial number on the left of the frame, and "VP" proof on the left of the trigger guard. Special edition issue number "M009" is marked on the bottom of the trigger guard. It has 50% coverage floral scroll engraving overall, as well as a centennial marking on the right of the frame. It is fitted with a pair of smooth hardwood grips. Includes a commemorative hardwood case and a 2003 Liberty silver dollar that is also numbered "M009". Very fine, retains 98% plus of the professionally custom embellished nickel plating with some light patchy frosting on the left rear of the slide and frame, as well as crisp engraving and remarked markings. The grips are near new with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with a few scattered light handling/storage marks.
