The multi-stage barrel flares out to around 1 3/8 inches at the muzzle and is about 18 bore for most of the length and has Birmingham proofs flanking a "2/cat" maker's mark on the upper left and "LONDON" marked on top of the breech section. The lock has a frizzen spring roller, a sliding safety on the stepped tail, faint maker's mark ending in "& Co" and light floral engraving. The furniture is brass and has some floral engraving, and the trigger guard has an acorn finial. The folding bayonet has a 10 3/4 inch triangular blade.
