Colt Acid Etched Panel New House .41 Revolver with Scarce Cop and Thug Grips

Manufactured in 1884. The barrel has the two-line address on top and the left side of the barrel is marked "COLT HOUSE 41" in an etched panel. The left side of the frame is marked "41CAL" and the full serial number is marked on the butt. It has standard features and is fitted with a very desirable pair of checkered hard rubber "cop and thug" grips.

ConditionVery fine, retains 90% of the original nickel finish with some scattered light spotting, some mild edge wear on the front edges of the cylinder, and the etched panel remaining crisp. The grips are fine showing some light wear and a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically needs work as the hammer does not hold at half or full cock.
