Almost certainly manufactured during the violence and upheaval of the Chinese Civil War, this pistol, unlike many manufactured in China at the time, does not appear to be a copy of a European design but rather an original homegrown design. This example bears multiple markings throughout, which are generally comprised of random, crudely stamped English/Latin letters. The pistol is a blowback design and chambered in 7.63 mm Mauser Auto, fitted with a blade front sight, Broomhandle style grasping area on the rear of the slide, exposed serrated hammer, and no apparent safety mechanism. It is also fitted with a pair of hard rubber grips with hand files serrations.
