Manufactured alongside Mauser's military contract Lugers, the "Banner" Lugers were destined for domestic commercial and foreign export sale. Fixed sights, with a "1937" dated chamber, and the front toggle is marked with the scarce smaller "Mauser Banner" logo. "Crown/crown/U" proofs are present on multiple components, along with matching "military pattern" external numbers. The blue finished alloy base magazine is also numbered to match, with an "eagle/63" military inspection mark, as are the checkered hardwood grips. Fitted with a set of straw finished small parts, and niter blue pins and springs.

Excellent, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing minor edge wear and handling marks overall. The straw and niter blue colors remain 90% intact and are strong and vivid, and the grips are excellent with minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
