Description:

Blade front and two position notch rear sights, with “1916” on the front sight base, chamber and the right frame rail, “crown” proofs on the left side of the barrel, chamber and breech block, and “crown/M” on the barrel and chamber. The underside of the barrel is marked “GERMANY”; traditionally seen on arms imported from Germany to the U.S. prior to rule changes in 1968, many military Lugers were brought to America post-World War I for commercial sale. The number has been removed from the firing pin, the extractor and grips are unnumbered, and the magazine base is mixed numbered, otherwise parts are matching overall. Fine straw color on the small parts, with niter blue pins and springs, checkered hardwood grips, and a nickel finished magazine with concentric circle hardwood base, marked “1/5134”.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, showing 85% of the arsenal refurbished blue, with scattered dings and dents, bright edge wear, and areas of brown and gray patina. 60% of the straw colors and half of the niter blue are present, and the very fine grips show some mild dings and dents. Mechanically excellent.
