Approximately 25,300 vz. 33 rifles were manufactured between 1934-1940 for Czechoslovakia. Of these, approximately 20,000 were issued to the Gendarmerie (Police Forces) and 4,300 to the Financial Guard (Border Guard). Once Czechoslovakia fell under German occupation, this platform was the basis for what became the Gewehr 33/40 carbine used by German mountain troops. "E(lion)35" marked on the left of the receiver ring above the serial number. "CETN/8165" Gendarmerie marked circular disk located on the right of the buttstock. Includes a cross-hatched brown leather sling.

Very fine, retains 85% plus original blue finish with a few light wear spots. Wood is fine with numerous scattered scratches and dents, a few minor chips, a small filled in repair on the right of the buttstock, and defined edges. Mechanically excellent.
