Manufactured during World War II for the commercial market. Fixed sights with the left side of the slide marked with the Walther banner, two-line address/patent/caliber markings and "Mod PP", and "eagle/N" proofs on the muzzle, chamber hood and slide. A proper matching number is hand-scribed inside the slide, which has no provision for a loaded chamber indicator; originally a special feature, the indicator was very popular, and most commercial PP and PPK pistols are factory equipped with one. With a ring hammer, 60 degree safety, checkered grips and an extended "target grip" base for the magazine. The "wood grain" box is unnumbered, containing a barrel rod, manual, extra magazine (flat base), and Walther-branded cleaning cloth and cleaning equipment tin.
