Manufactured in Stamford, Connecticut, this weapon is patterned after the 30 caliber AN/M2 Browning Machine Gun, also known as the MG40 when produced by Colt. A successor to the 1919 BMG, the M2 lightens the original design, while also integrating improvements like the ability to reverse the feed and ejection path for use in aircraft wings and other fixed mounts. Flip up blade front and ladder rear sights, with a ventilated shroud around the barrel, the DLO address and serial number on the underside of the frame, checkered thumb trigger with a sliding safety, and smooth spade grips.

Very fine, with 85% plus matte gray phosphate finish, showing oxidization on the barrel and around the feed mechanism, mild pitting on the underside of the receiver, and mild handling marks overall. The mechanism is a bit stiff, but otherwise functions fine. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
