Blued steel barrels with ramped beaded blade front sight, two position (one standing, one folding) rear sight on the raised rear quarter rib, import mark under forend, 2009 dated Italian proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The bolstered, coin finished boxlock action displays stunning near full coverage floral scroll engraving which extends to the toplever, trigger guard, and both tangs. The bottom of the action is marked "PERUIGINI & VISINI/NUVOLERA" set amongst the scrollwork. The triggerplate is signed "C. Tomasoni" for highly regarded Italian Master Engraver Claudio Tomasoni. The rifle features double triggers, a right hand rolled trigger guard, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Beautiful, highly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings, including the rotary latch release, and pistol grip stock with teardrop carved flats, engraved blued steel grip cap, raised shadowline cheekpiece, and red rubber recoil pad. Included is a wood and leather takedown case with Peruigini & Visini trade label on interior lid. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 4 oz.
Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
