In 2019, Rock Island Auction Company has held its largest number of auctions to date. With five in-person and seven online auctions, we have not stopped selling spectacular firearms all year long. Our sixth Online Only Auction is almost here and the catalog is currently up on our website for you to browse and bid. Our October 24thauction has many fun and fascinating items that will arouse the curiosity of many gun enthusiasts. Take a look.

Interesting Finds

Heckler & Koch HK93 Rifle in Scarce Woodland Camo Finish

This Heckler & Koch rifle is the same model used by antagonist sheriff Will Teasle in"First Blood" the first of the beloved Rambo film series. The Heckler & Koch HK93 rifle looks like a gun that could equate to hours of fun in the range. It is known to be a rifle with a nice fitting reliable magazine. This particular HK93 rifle is a Woodland model finished in a camo design, and is accompanied by its soft case.

Cased Engraved Walther Model PPK/S-1 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Walther Model PPK pistols are one of the most famous of all Walther guns and have gained attention over the years for being the choice sidearm of Agent 007, otherwise known as James Bond in the popular novel and film series. If you’ve been trying to get your hands on an affordable and serviceable Walther PPK, well you are in luck. We have over a half-dozen different varieties of this gun in the upcoming Online Only sale.

Colts

It comes as no surprise that this October auction has a wide array of fantastic Colt handguns. In our one day sale, we are presenting about a dozen revolvers from the beloved Colt snake gun series. Colt Snakes guns are among one of the most popular Colt handgun collection lines of the 20th century.

Colt Viper Revolver

The first Colt snake gun we will take a look at is a highly collectible and scarcely produced model, the Colt Viper revolver. Based off the design and look of the Colt Cobra revolver, the only true difference between the guns is the barrel length. The Colt Cobra has a 2” barrel and the Viper has a 4”. This particular Viper revolver was made in 1977 and was sold in Alabama on March 29, 1978. Colt Viper Revolvers were only made in 1977, making its production numbers especially low at about 4,000 in total.

Colt Cobra Revolver

If you read our blog published a few weeks ago about the Colt Detective Special, you know that the Colt Cobra was a gun made in a similar design and function to the Detective Special. The small arm was originally produced from 1950 to 1981 and then had a resurgence in 2017. The new Cobra is still in production today and has a nice modern look. We have both original and modern versions of the Cobra available in our October sale.

Colt King Cobra Revolver

Upgrading to the next level of Colt revolver firepower, we present to you two good condition Colt King Cobra revolvers. Chambered in the popular .357 magnum, this medium frame 6” barrel hand-gun is the real McCoy. Appearing cosmetically to be similar to the Colt Cobra, the actual function of the King Cobra is similar to that of Colt Trooper MK V. Just like the Cobra, the King Cobra had several different production eras with the first starting in 1986 and running until 1992. In 1994 the second issue of the King Cobra started and was manufactured until 1998. During the 2019 SHOT Show, Colt unveiled its new King Cobra revolver with a 3” barrel. The snake guns are slow inching their way back into the market both exciting and irritating Colt fanatics.

Colt Diamondback 38 Revolver

The Colt Diamondback is essentially a pocket version of a Colt Python revolver. Colt Firearms decided to use the popularity of the Python to ramp up sales for the smaller, more concealable Diamondback. In today’s market, you can buy a Colt Diamondback at a much more achievable price point than a Python making it a good option for Python fans on a budget. We have two Diamondback options available this October

Those are just a few various Colt firearms we have available in October. Browse through the catalog now to see what else we have in store for Colt enthusiast.

Other Great Offerings

IWI U.S. Tavor SAR Semi-Automatic Bullpup Rifle

If you are looking for a modern, trendy, and reliable Bullpup rifle, you may want to check out the Tavor SAR. Used by the Israeli military since 2009, the guns have been manufactured and available in the United States since 2013. This Bullpup is equipped Viridian tactical light and forward grip/bipod. The gun also comes with a EOTech L3 holographic sight.

Kriss Vector CRB Semi-Automatic Rifle with Red Dot Sight

The Kriss vector CRB is based off of the company’s submachine gun used by militaries and law enforcement agencies, and as featured in numerous video games and films. Made for the civilian market, the CRB variant has proven to be user friendly and to have little recoil, making rapid and accurate firing better than one may expect. This model is in excellent condition sporting its almost new polymer Alpine White body. The rifle also comes with a waterproof Aimpoint Carbine Optic red dot sight.

Cased Smith & Wesson Model 29-5 Magna Classic Revolver

To end off this list of highlights, we have a classic revolver from none other than Smith & Wesson. The Model 29 revolver is chambered in .44 magnum cartridges and at the time of its original release in 1955, it was the most powerful handgun on the market. Whether you are a gun enthusiast or not, you know the revolver from the “Dirty Harry” films, as it is Harry Callahan’s gun of choice. The revolver has been produced in many different variants over the years, eleven to be exact. This offering is 29-5 model manufactured in 1990. It is in almost new condition showing 99% of its original finish. It is presented in an attractive lined case and accompanied by additional front sight inserts. If you want to get your hands on a new Smith & Wesson, this is one you may want to bid on. You’ve gotta ask yourself a question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk?
