This specific rifle was manufactured by Remington Arms Company at their Eddystone factory. The top of the receiver is marked "ERA" for the Eddystone plant over the serial number. The major components have the correct "E" markings indicating Eddystone manufacture . The left side of the receiver has the British Broad Arrow proof over the "GR" and crossed pennants indicating acceptance and issuance by the British government.
