Manufactured in 1856. Also known as the "Root Model" after noted Colt designer Elisha K. Root. Brass post front sight with notch rear sight. Top barrel flat marked with the Hartford address and pointing hand motif. The cylinder is roll marked with a cabin and Indian scene. Smooth one piece walnut grips.
