PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED

Manufactured between 1850 and 1873, this particular revolver was produced in 1860. The top barrel flat is marked " ADDRESS SAML COLT / HARTFORD CT.", " COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of the frame, and the cylinder is roll engraved with the stagecoach holdup scene. The full serial number, "182483" appears on the cylinder, barrel lug, frame, trigger guard and backstrap, the partial number "2483" is marked on the loading lever and wedge. It is fitted with smooth one piece grips.

Refinished. All metal surfaces have a smooth dark artificial patina. The cylinder has several minor to moderate dings and tools marks and some minor pitting obscuring part of the scene. There are a few small scattered areas of pin prick type pitting. The trigger guard and backstrap have an aged patina. The grips have been revarnished and remain in good condition overall with a repaired crack on the left side running from the top to the bottom and scattered minor dings and dents. The top portion of the frame marking is unreadable, otherwise the markings are clear. The action is tight.
