NPRF - NON-PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED/COLD BLUE, ETC.

Manufactured in 1861. This revolver has the large round trigger guard. The top barrel flat is marked: "--ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW -YORK U.S.AMERICA--", the left side of the frame has the "COLT / PATENT" and there is no visible cylinder scene. The serial number "103358" is stamped on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, cylinder and blackstrap. The partial number "3358" is stamped on the loading lever.

Refinished. All metal surfaces have an artificial smooth brownish patina. There are signs of cleaning on the barrel and a little pin prick type pitting scattered on the barrel. The brass has an aged patina. The grips are fair with a small chip on the right toe and overall scattered minor dings, dents and nicks. Except noted above the markings are sharp and clear. The action is good.
