Manufactured in 1896. Standard markings and features, with a tang mounted peep sight. Wood has been refinished. The accompanying Cody letter verifies the serial number, rifle configuration, caliber, that it was received in the warehouse on October 21, 1897 and shipped on October 22, 1897.
