Manufactured in 1895. Replacement barrel with blade front and three leaf rear sights and standard markings. The accompanying Cody letter verifies the serial number as rifle configuration, 38/55 caliber, octagon barrel and plain trigger. The rifle was received in the warehouse on May 31, 1898, shipped with 3 other guns on September 28, 1898 to order number 7555 and returned and repaired on June 19, 1916.
