With blacked damascus barrels each engraved with a double border line at the breech end and with concave rib with bead front sight, signed “WILLIAM MOORE & GREY. 163. PICCADILLY. LONDON. W.C.” and with doll’s head extension. The underside of the barrels struck with Birmingham black powder proof marks and nitro reproof marks. Burnished action with blued underlever, and rebounding back action locks each signed “WM. MOORE & GREY”. Figured 14 1/4 inch semi-pistol grip stock with checkered grip and forearm, the underside of the butt with blank silver oval initial escutcheon, the forearm with key fastener. Double border line engraving with flourishes of scrollwork and rosettes throughout. Weight 12 lbs. 2.8 oz. In recent brass cornered fitted leather case lined in burgundy baize, the lid with reproduction Moore & Grey trade label. With recent brass mounted accessories including cleaning rod, turnscrews and chamber brush, and large brass oiler. The oiler and chamber brush each engraved “WM. MOORE & GREY”.
