Description:

27" OAL, 19 1/2" blade with wavy hamon, blackened copper habaki, kyu-gunto pattern hilt and black lacquered saya. The tang has two mekugi-ana and a short signature on the left side; a consignor-supplied translation gives this as "Yoshiyuki", and attributes it specifically to a student of Yamato no Kami Yoshimichi, active in the Settsu and Tosa Provinces during the Empo Period (1673-1681). The blade is fair, with some spotting, edge nicks and signs of cleaning. The furniture is rough.
