1) Framed pall bearer ribbon made of primarily a black silk material, a circular cockade at the top with a gold star at the center, a small photograph of General George Custer sewn on just below that with an American flag bow, gold tassels and "PALL BEARER" marked in gold on the hanging ribbon that is also tasseled. The frame measures 12 1/8" x 10 1/8". 2) Non-framed pall bearer ribbon, nearly identical to the other, lacking the photograph, bow. The pall bearers at General George Custer's funeral were; Brevet Major General J. B. Fry, Brevet Major General R. B. Marcy, Brevet Brigadier General J. B. Kiddoo, General T. C. Devins, Adjutant General Forsyth, Colonel Stephen Clyford, Colonel Ludlow, and Colonel Mitchell. Both are generally fine showing minimal wear and an attractive aged appearance.
