"THE VOLCANIC/REPEATING ARMS CO./PATENT NEWHAVEN CONN. FEB.14.1854" marked on the top barrel flat (double stamped), pinched front sight and notch rear sight. Both grip panels and lever are numbered to the gun. Includes attachable walnut stock with brass buttplate matching numbered "73" to the gun.
