Description:

The included factory letter (copy) states the revolver was shipped on June 11, 1935 and delivered to Morley Brothers, Saginaw, Michigan, with an 8 3/4 inch barrel (currently fitted with a 7 1/2 inch barrel), Patridge front sight, square notch rear sight, blue finish and standard stocks with grip adapter. Other included documents related to this revolver: purchase order from Morley Brothers, the S&W order, a letter from S&W's Sales Department indicating there would be a delay in filling the order, and a shipping S&W shipping invoice. The grip frame has the S&W factory November 1966 ("11 66") return date, and the S&W factory "B" and diamond refinish mark appears on the grip frame and barrel. The original 8 3/4 inch barrel was likely changed to 7 1/2 inches when the revolver returned to the S&W factory. The barrel is numbered to the gun. The cylinder and right grip panel are not numbered.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 98% plus of the S&W factory refinished blue finish with some scattered handling marks and cylinder drag line. The grips are very good with a chip near the bottom (right panel) and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
