Description:

Manufactured in 1911. A majority of the Model 1909 revolvers delivered between May 28, 1909, and September 13, 1911, were shipped to the Philippines. Features a fixed blade front and notch rear sights, the two-line Hartford address, "COLT D.A. 45," "UNITED STATES PROPERTY," "P," and "R.A.C." on the barrel, "R.A.C." on the frame and the Rampant Colt backed by a stylized "C" on the side plate. "R.A.C." is marked on the rear cylinder face. Fitted with a pair of smooth walnut grips with non-match serial numbers on the inside written in pencil (45188 on the left, 43886 on the right). Includes a "G.&K./1917/A.G." marked M1909 leather holster. Provenance: Richard Peters, USMC, Reserves Law Enforcement, a Gentleman

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 90% bright original high polish blue finish with light scattered handling marks, faint spotting, and a cylinder drag line. The re-oiled grips are very fine with signs of sanding. The holster is very fine with supple leather. Mechanically excellent.
