Manufactured for the Portuguese Navy as part of the second contract of 300 pistols, ordered after the fall of Manuel II during the Portuguese Revolution of 1910. These second contract guns, found in the 351-650 serial range, are marked with a "R.P." (Republic of Portugal) over fouled naval anchor crest, instead of the crown over fouled naval anchor crest featured on pistol manufactured during the first contract. Features fixed sights, "DWM" monogram on the front toggle, "CARREGADA" marked extractor, and safety polished bright in the lower position. Maching visible serial numbers on the barrel and frame, with matching "25" partials on the takedown lever, side plate, trigger, toggle links, breech block, and grip safety with the checkered grips unnumbered. The nickel finished magazine is fitted with a "Cal. 9m/m" marked hardwood base.

Fine, retaining 75% plus original blue finish and 50% straw colors with scattered light handling marks, thinning on the grip straps and light spotting. The grips are very good with light bruising and defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
