Originally manufactured in 1902, this Model 1895 carbine was subsequently professionally refinished and upgraded to deluxe configuration by Turnbull Restoration Co. The standard two-line address and patent dates are marked on the left of the receiver and "30" is marked on top of the receiver ring. The model designation is on the upper tang and serial number on the lower tang. It is fitted with a pinned blade front sight, barrel drilled and tapped for a rear sight which is absent, and a Lyman peep sight mounted on the left of the receiver. It is mounted with a very finely figured, checkered forearm and upper handguard and a checkered straight grip stock with a trapdoor carbine buttplate (cleaning rod not included). The included Turnbull Restoration Co. letter lists the carbine by serial number and details the upgrade work done by them.
