The included factory letter lists this revolver as chambered in .357 Magnum with a 6 inch barrel, blue finish and stocks not listed and furnished with a 1/8 inch front sight, 3 lbs. trigger, and square butt configuration when shipped to Westchester Trading Post in Mt. Vernon, New York on July 29th, 1940 as a single gun shipment. Knowledgeable collectors believe that about 3,500 of these Shooting Master revolvers were built, of which, 500 were chambered for .357 Magnum.

Excellent overall, retaining 98% original blue finish with a light cylinder drag line, some light handling wear on the frontstrap, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
