The included factory letter lists this revolver as chambered in .38 caliber with a 6 inch barrel in heavy barrel configuration, blue finish and not listed when shipped to Howard Baldwin on September 11, 1941. Fitted with round blade front and frame notch rear sights. The barrel is marked on the left with "COLT OFFICIAL/POLICE 38/+HEAVY BARREL+" and the two-line Colt address on top. The revolver wears a set of checkered walnut grips with silver colt medallions. Also included is the original maroon box containing a cleaning brush and "Shooting Suggestions" pamphlet.
