Fine Civil War U.S. Contract Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver with Holster

The Model 1860 Army was the primary revolver used by the Union during the Civil War. This example was manufactured in 1862. Full and partial matching serial number "37307" marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, butt, wedge, cylinder, cylinder pin and handwritten in black ink inside the grip mortise. Includes an unmarked period brown leather Slim Jim holster.

ConditionFine, retains 40% original case colors and original blue finish with smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, some areas of minor oxidation, attractive golden bright patina on the brass, retains all of its cylinder safety pins with some minor wear on a few of them, defined cylinder scene and markings in the metal overall. The grip is very good and has mild scratches, mild edge wear, and a lightly worn but legible cartouche. Mechanically excellent. The holster is fine with mild wear and cracking.
