This late 18th century pair of Grice boxlock pistols are mostly brass with some iron components, featuring light border engraving on the locks, breech area, and trigger guard, with "Grice/LONDON" inscribed on the left sideplates and an engraved martial motif on the right, fancy silver wire inlays in the walnut grips, and decorated silver wrist escutcheons and pommel caps. Ordnance private proofs stamped on the right of the breech on the "B" gun only.

Very good, with lightly polished bright golden patina on the brass with a few areas of darkening at the edges, with a defined maker inscription. The refinished grip is also very good with a few discreet repairs and cracks. Mechanically fine.
