Manufactured by Mauser in 1935; while the Germans were still paying lip service to the Treaty of Versailles, 1935 was the second year of renewed Luger production, as the Nazis already had designs on Lebensraum in Eastern Europe and payback against the French. Fixed sights, with the "G" date mark on the chamber, "S/42" on the front toggle link, "eagle/63" proofs on the chamber, and "drop wing eagle" firing proofs on the extension and breechblock. The barrel is numbered to match, with an "8,82" inner diameter mark and no proof stamps. Straw colored small parts, niter blue springs, pins and screws, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with aluminum base. Numbers are matching overall, including on the grip panels and magazine base. Included with the lot is a 1935 dated black leather Franz Cobau police holster.

Very fine, with 95% plus professionally restored blue finish, showing some mild wear and handling marks overall. The barrel is a professional replacement. 80% of the bright straw color is present on the small parts, with strong niter blue on the sear spring. Grips are excellent, with some minor stains and crisp checkering. The holster is very good, with light scratches and wear. Mechanically excellent.
