Manufactured in 1940, this Mauser Luger was made for commercial sale, either on the domestic market or for export. Blade and notch sights, with "1940" on the chamber, the "Mauser Banner" logo on the front toggle link, and a set of "eagle/N" commercial proofs. The components have been numbered in "military pattern", with an unnumbered extractor and the other components matching, including on the inside of the grip panels and on the alloy magazine base. Fitted with straw finished small parts, checkered hardwood grips, and a blued magazine.

Excellent, with 95% plus original high polish blue finish and 90% plus bright straw color with some light rubbing on the sideplate and minor handling marks overall. The grips show a few dings, but are otherwise excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
