This is a fine pair of percussion pistols, both marked with the maker name "Burnett/Southampton" on top of the barrels and "BURNETT" on the locks. The breeches, barrel tangs, locks, hammers, trigger guards with pineapple finials, and ramrod ferrules are engraved with floral scroll and border designs. Brown twist finished barrels, casehardened locks, hammers, breeches and barrel tangs, and blue finished trigger guards. Fitted with walnut stocks with horn end caps, swiveling iron ramrods, checkered grip areas and blank rectangular silver wrist escutcheons. Each pistol is numbered "632" and "633" respectively on the trigger guard tangs.

Exceptionally fine, retains 95% original brown twist finish on the barrel, strong patterns of original case colors with some areas of fading, 60% plus original blue finish, some minor freckling at the breech, with absolutely sharp engraving and edges in the metal overall. The stock is excellent with a few light dents and handling marks, and distinct checkering and edges. Mechanically excellent.
