These pistols by royal gunmaker Thomas Jackson Mortimer c. 1830 feature smoothbore, Damascus barrels with dovetailed blade front sights, "TJ Mortimer Maker to his Majesty London" signed on top in script, casehardened breech plugs with pierced platinum liners, "TIM/5129" on the bottom of the barrels along with London proof and view marks, and "TIM" on the breech hooks. The standing breeches incorporate fixed notch rear sights. The pistols feature single set triggers. The flat locks have "TJ Mortimer/St James's St" signed in script towards the front and sliding half-cock safeties. The trigger guards are spurred. Ornate scroll and border engraving is featured on many of the components. The forend caps, wedge escutcheons, wrist escutcheons, and pommel caps are silver. The "saw-handle" stocks have checkered butts.

Very good with aged patina on the silver, mottled gray and brown patina and some mild pitting on the iron, legible markings and engraving, and moderate overall wear. The stock is very good and has distinct checkering, minor edge wear, light marks and scratches, and smooth finish. Mechanically fine.
