Danish Madsen Model 50 Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA C&R Fully Transferable Machine Gun

Developed in the Netherlands after World War II, the Model 50 submachine gun is a straight blowback open bolt 9mm weapon primarily constructed from metal stampings. The outer shell of the weapon is hinged at the rear, opening up to expose the internals and free the barrel for inspection, cleaning and maintenance, the pistol grip doubling as storage for the included loading tool. Blade front and peep rear sights, with the model, serial number and "MADE IN DENMARK" on the right side of the receiver, sling swivels on the left, and a side-folding tube stock with leather cover. A pair of safety devices are installed, a conventional "F" and "S" marked switch on the left side and a spring loaded grip safety at the rear of the magazine well; while a good two-handed grip is certainly the recommended way to hold a submachine gun, the M50 goes a step further and makes it mandatory. Magazine absent.

ConditionVery fine, with 90% plus original black finish, showing bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. The leather stock cover has tight stitching and shows minor scuffing. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
