Stoeger of New York City being a primary importer, offering both standard configuration commercial Lugers and emulations of variants like the Artillery Luger. This example has been configured after the Navy Luger, with the longer barrel, fixed blade front and two position range adjustable rear sight. In addition to the prominent American eagle crest stamped chamber and the "DWM" monogrammed front toggle link, the right side of the extension is marked "A.F. STOEGER, INC/NEW YORK." along with "GERMANY." The right side frame rail is marked "LUGER -REGISTERED U.S. PATENT OFFICE" and "GERMANY" is marked on the front. The extractor and upper safety position are marked "LOADED" and "SAFE." No proofs are externally visible, with matching "commercial" pattern serial numbers on the barrel, frame, takedown lever, sideplate, and trigger. Fitted with straw and nitre blue finished small parts, with a pair of unmarked checkered walnut grips and a nickel finished magazine with a "GERMANY" marked hardwood base.

Very fine overall, retaining 95% plus professionally restored blue and 80% plus refurbished straw finishes with light edge wear, minor handling marks, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
