The accompanying factory letter states the revolver was shipped on February 21, 1939, to the Lakeland Police Department, Lakeland Police Station, Lakeland, Florida, with a 5 inch barrel, adjustable rear target sight, nickel finish, and checkered walnut Magna grips. Matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder, and barrel. Provenance: The Dave Ballantyne Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine as a rare finish law enforcement special order revolver, retaining 90% original nickel plating. The grips are very good with "JOE" hand marked on the right panel at the top, a couple chips along the front strap, and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
